Right before recording this clip Mike broke his high E string. We had already recorded a pass, and just needed to punch in a few parts of the solo. Then he broke yet another string. This time the B string. I literally said to Mike, ‘I think we’re going to have to re-string this thing’ but instead we were able to get the take… with only 4 guitar strings!
